Be transported back in time on a visit to over 100 original ancestral houses dating as far back as the 1800s, which can only be found in the mystical heritage town of Jimenez, Misamis Occidental. One of the most prominent ancestral houses is the Tac-an House, also known as “Casa de Ozamiz.” The house was originally a residence of the Aldren Tac-An Nacion Family that was built in 1914 and was used as a printing press, now called the Old Bacarro Printing Press Building, during the Japanese occupation, where emergency money was printed. Some of the printed money can still be seen on the house’s second floor.

HOW TO GET THERE:
One may opt for a bus or a rented van from the Jimenez Integrated Bus and Jeepney Terminal. Tell the driver to drop you off at the Heritage District.
