Lake Pinamaloy, a picturesque 60-hectare inland body of water, graces the heart of Don Carlos, Bukidnon. From above, it takes on the shape of a guitar. It earned its name from an old fable about the couple “Pina” and “Maloy,” passed down to the new generation. Beyond its enchanting charm, Lake Pinamaloy serves as a vital water source for the municipality of Don Carlos. It also holds special significance for various church activities, including the Stations of the Cross during Lent, memorable wedding ceremonies, and reflective retreats. HOW TO GET THERE:
The jump-off point is the Don Carlos Integrated Bus Terminal in Bukidnon. From there, one can ride local transportation called “trikecab” through the Don Carlos Trikecab Association, which is in front of the terminal. Inform the driver to drop you off at Lake Pinamaloy.
