WALKWAY TO THE OLD VOLCANO

The Walkway to the Old Volcano is an 8-kilometer path with 14 life-sized Stations of the Cross situated at Mt. Vulcan in Barangay Bonbon. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations, especially during the Lenten Season. Every Holy Week, pilgrims observe the annual tradition of Panaad, which means “pledge,” on this site. The holy activity is observed as an expression of penitence and renewal of one’s faith in the Lord.

HOW TO GET THERE
The entrance to the Walkway to the Old Volcano is visible along Camiguin Circumferential Road, about 1 kilometer from the Sunken Cemetery, as various signage is placed at the first few flights of stairs of the walkway. A row of souvenir shops is also set across the entryway.
